Back To Reality
Back to reality, the will to decrease the influence of technology.
With social media we created another reality inside steel boxes to find comfort and protection from the offline world. Based upon that understanding, I focused on touchable outcomes to distract us from screens. But, it is an addiction, meaning we cannot antagonise the audience for their actions. Especially since the screens completely put aside any controversy. These were the reasons to be subtle rather than patronising. Firstly, I made a college’s Newspaper that empowers the sense of community within students; Secondly, a sarcastic poster campaign which uses the digital language to turn it against itself. Because for social media to lose their influence, we have to make them uncool. It’s basically the bully way. Finally, an interactive offline social media experience based on our need to react. 3 simple messages which are efficient in audience targeting, readability and entertainment.
